Permanent Makeup Information
How long do permanent eyebrows last?
The longevity of permanent brows varies by technique and skin type, but here’s what you can expect:
- Microblading: Typically lasts 1–2 years with proper aftercare. Results may fade more quickly on oily or textured skin.
- Combo/Hybrid Brows: A blend of microblading and ombré powder that generally lasts longer than microblading alone — ideal for those wanting both definition and softness.
- Ombré Powder Brows: The longest-lasting option, especially great for oily or mature skin. Can last 1–3 years with annual touch-ups.
- Nano Brows: Known for their precision and softness, nano brows typically last 1.5–3 years. They’re suitable for most skin types, especially those who want the hair-stroke look with better retention than microblading.
During your consultation, we’ll help you choose the style that best fits your skin type and lifestyle. We’ll also go over all pre- and post-care instructions to ensure the best possible healed results.
Permanent Makeup Benefits
Why spend time each morning perfecting your brows, eyeliner, or lip color when you can wake up with effortless beauty?
Permanent makeup is a game-changer for those looking to simplify their routine while enhancing their natural features. Whether you're after fuller brows, defined lash lines, or softly tinted lips — our services are tailored to give you lasting, natural-looking results.
We offer a variety of brow styles to suit your individual needs:
- Microblading: Fine, hair-like strokes that blend with your natural brow hair for a soft 3D effect.
- Nano Brows: Ultra-precise strokes created with a machine for better retention and softer healing — ideal for most skin types.
- Combo/Hybrid Brows: A blend of strokes and shading for both texture and depth.
- Ombré Powder Brows: A shaded, makeup-like brow with the longest-lasting results — great for oily or mature skin.
We also offer:
- Permanent Eyeliner: Enhances your lash line and defines your eyes with soft shading or bold liner effects. Perfect for anyone tired of daily eyeliner or looking to accentuate their eye shape.
- Lip Blushing: A beautiful tint to your lips that adds color, symmetry, and definition. Ideal for fading lip tone or those wanting a naturally enhanced lip shade without the need for daily lipstick.
Whether you're looking to define sparse areas or build an entirely new brow shape — or enhance your eyes and lips — we'll work with you to design features that complement your natural beauty and reflect your personal style.
Is it painful? Am I a good candidate?
Pain levels vary by individual, but most clients describe the procedure as mildly uncomfortable rather than painful. We use high-quality topical numbing agents throughout the service to keep you as comfortable as possible. Some clients even relax or doze off during the treatment!
You may be a great candidate for permanent makeup if:
- You want to save time in your daily routine
- You have sparse, over-tweezed, or uneven brows
- You struggle with makeup application due to vision or mobility challenges
- You have allergies to traditional makeup products
- You want smudge-proof, water-resistant definition that lasts
Permanent makeup may not be suitable for clients who are pregnant or nursing, undergoing certain medical treatments, or have specific skin conditions. During your consultation, we’ll go over your health history and goals to ensure the service is safe and right for you.
About our Owner
OWNER, BOSS BABE & ARTIST
For more than 22 years, I’ve built my career across nearly every corner of the beauty industry as a professionally published artist, medical esthetician, cosmetic tattoo artist, and tattoo removal specialist. Through all of it, one thing kept pulling me forward: helping women feel the confidence they want and deserve.
That calling led me to microblading and permanent makeup, and eventually to opening Highbrow Chattanooga. I’ve earned six certifications across different permanent makeup techniques, including several from PhiBrows Academy, one of the world’s most respected names in cosmetic tattoo education. My degree in medical esthetics, with an emphasis on machines and paramedical procedures, gives me a deep understanding of the skin, and it’s been a foundation of my success in permanent makeup.
I don’t just create new work; I’m also certified to correct it. With extensive experience in laser and saline tattoo removal, I can help whether you’re starting fresh or fixing brows done somewhere else.
I’m honored that Highbrow has been voted Chattanooga’s “Best of the Best” for microblading every year from 2021 through 2026. My goal is simple: to be the best at what I do, so you can feel like the best version of you.
